Shiraz Elected LHC Board Member
Shiraz was elected as a Member of the Board of Directors of the League of Historical Cities at the 18th World Conference of Historical Cities, which was held in Andong, Republic of Korea from 14-16 November 2022.
This is the second consecutive term Shiraz will serve as one of the principal officers of the LHC. Kyoto, the founding city of the league was elected as the chair city and Konya, Turkey; Xian, China; Krakow, Poland; Bad Ischl, Austria; Ljubljana, Slovenia and Gyeongju, Republic of Korea were elected as other directors. Kazanawa, Japan was also elected as the LHC auditor. Ljubljana and Isfahan ran for the host of the 19th World Conference, with the Slovenian capital winning the competition to hold the next flagship event of the league of Historical Cities.
