Shiraz Mayor Meets Qatari Diplomat
Shiraz Mayor met the Qatari Counselor. In this meeting which was organized on the sidelines of the First Shiraz National Investment Development Conference, Shiraz Mayor Seyed Ehsan Asnafi and Abdullah Al-Nuaimi the Counselor of the embassy of the State of Qatar to Tehran, emphasized the need for deepening friendly ties, and expressed hope to organize joint events in near future.
Having referred to the capacities of Shiraz in areas such as tourism, healthcare, etc., Asnafi considered these areas to be a platform for facilitating the conclusion of sister-city agreement between Shiraz and Doha. He also referred to the World Cup 2022 to be held in Qatar, and expressed the readiness of Shiraz to host those who would come to Qatar for this event. Asnafi added “we would like to express our readiness to develop any relationship such as joint flights, establishing tourist offices in Qatar during the World Cup 2022.”
Al-Nuaimi, in this meeting, emphasized the amicable relationship between the two nations, and continued “the commercial relationship between Shiraz and Doha should be fostered and I hope that Shiraz Municipality supports it.” He, then, expressed his hope for scheduling further meetings in near future.
