ICCN Maintains Accreditation from UNESCO
UNESCO renewed the accreditation of Intangible Cultural Cooperation Network (ICCN). The ICCN secretariat said that by the vote of the UNESCO Committee for Safeguarding the Intangible Heritage, the application of ICCN for renewing the title of organization linked to UNESCO providing advisory services had been approved. According to the Secretariat the application of ICCN was reviewed at the sixteenth session of the said committee held in Paris from 13 to 18 December 2021. As a result, ICCN will continue to hold its consultative status for four years until the next quadrennial report is due in 2025.
It is worth mentioning that the City of Shiraz joined ICCN in 2010, and has served as an executive board member of ICCN since 2014.
