From the street of the friend came the fragrant breeze of Nowruz
From this breeze, If thou desire aid, the lamp of the heart, thou mayest kindle (Hafez)
 
I would like to extend my congratulations on the occasion of the ancient Nowruz to all the people around the world who celebrate this auspicious occasion and in particular to my fellow countrymen and women across the globe. 
Spring brings life back to the spirit of the universe. So, I also congratulate this beautiful and fresh change to all the nature lovers around the world.  It is truly admirable that for the peaceful Iranians the New Year celebrations coincide with this ‘nature’s festivity.’
The International Day of Nowruz - which has been inscribed on the UNESCO representative list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity - and its pleasant concurrence with the vernal equinox may inspire all people around the world and help them see the light at the end of the tunnel so that they take steps in unity and solidarity towards the realization of peace and friendship in the whole world.
We celebrate the ancient Nowruz in Shiraz, a green city well-known for its moderate springs, and we hope that a bright future awaits us all.
We, in the forthcoming year, look forward to overcoming the pandemic and greeting each other with a warm handshake and enjoying the rich culture of our cities through fostering our cultural exchanges.
